About me

Dr Christel

De Vriendt

(and my faithful Leeloo)

Doctor in Veterinary Medicine

Graduated from the University of Liège in 2013, I went to France for a year, to the Clinique du Lys near Fontainebleau to improve my skills in emergencies for small pets and in equine veterinary medicine. With this experience, I came back in Belgium where I worked as a mixed veterinarian (canine and equine) in the Akuut practice located in Kortenberg - Zaventem for almost 3 years.

Refocusing on canine practice and mainly on surgery for small pets, I joined the Animali team in Lembeek for 2 years before embarking on another project: emergencies. With 3 veterinarian colleagues, we launched VET&GO, emergency centers open only at night, on public holidays and on weekends.

After 2 years at the head of these centers, I miss the link with my patients. So I decided to quit and join the vetteam of Clinique Veterinaire Brasseur in Manage, near La Louviere. At the same time, I'm doing housecalls and continue as a surgeon in different practices in Brussels and Wallonia.

My services

Surgery is a field in which I have learned a lot over the past 5 years. Light interventions on healthy patients can sometimes be performed directly at home. If a heavier surgery is necessary or if your companion is a patient at greater risk, I operate in the practices of veterinarian colleagues in order to work in the best conditions.

Apart from my consultations, I perform various surgeries for my veterinarian colleagues.

Whether it is vaccination, prevention, or the management of mild to heavier pathologies, I use my many years of experience in veterinary clinics and practices for the well-being of your companions.

The annual vaccine checks are not just to vaccinate your animal. They are also important for preventing possible pathologies.

Interested in phyto- and aromatherapy, I try (when your pet's problem allows it and you are asking for these alternative medicines) to set up complementary care based on essential oils.

Dental care is extremely important in our pets.

During the annual vaccination check, a complete examination of your animal is carried out and makes it possible to predict oral pathologies.
If a dental scrape or surgery is necessary, it will be done in the practice because it requires specific equipment.

Nutrition is important for the good health of your pet. Whether it is to make a growth curve for your puppy, to determine the petfood  that best corresponds to your young adult or senior animal, or to carry out a "so-called" household ration corresponding to the needs of your companion, please do not hesitate to contact me so that we can discuss them together.
